To make researchers aware of these new features, a new flyer is now available that provides a concise overview of the extended functions for researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Overview of the New Features:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"font-size:16px\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Contact information:<\/strong> Direct contacts for publication services and information on invoice processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Publication costs: <\/strong>Transparent display of the average actual publication costs of journals based on OpenAPC data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Funding opportunities: <\/strong>Options for the coverage of publication costs at your institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Journal categories: <\/strong>Filter options based on criteria such as Diamond Open Access, DOAJ seal, or Data Journal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information on publishing: <\/strong>Journal-specific publishing details from the DOAJ, e.g., Article Processing Charges, information on the review process or the license of the publication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information on secondary publication: <\/strong>Notes on the free provision of already published research results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">These features can be individually enabled by each institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">The EZB enhancements help researchers to make cost-conscious decisions when considering different publishing options. Library staff also benefit from the new features, as they can manage and provide information on their institution\u2019s publication funding more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Flyer for researchers: Available for download<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">To assist in promoting these functions, a flyer has been created, specifically targeting researchers. This flyer is available as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opencost.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/EZB-flyer-new-functions-authors.pdf\">PDF for download<\/a> and includes a dedicated space for institutional logos in the bottom left corner of the flyer\u2019s front page, allowing libraries to customize it for local dissemination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The expanded features of the EZB offer valuable support for researchers in the publishing process.
