Based on the developed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opencost.de\/news\/en\/metadata-schema\/\">openCost metadata format<\/a>, codes, and workflows in OpenAPC have been adapted so that these additional cost items can be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">For an overview of the enhancements, the handouts <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/OpenAPC\/openapc-de\/wiki\/Data-Submission-Handout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201eData entry\u201c<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/OpenAPC\/openapc-de\/wiki\/schema\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201eData schema\u201c<\/a> in the OpenAPC wiki have been adapted. The OpenAPC GitHub repository also contains <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/OpenAPC\/openapc-de#additional-costs-for-articles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an overview, including a graphic<\/a>, of the additional costs already reported<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Articles with reported additional costs are also visualized via the OpenAPC Treemaps. For all institutions that have reported additional costs to OpenAPC at least once, an extended view is generated in which the items are differentiated by cost type at the lowest level. One example is the <a href=\"https:\/\/treemaps.openapc.net\/apcdata\/desy\/apc_ac\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">treemap of the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron<\/a> (DESY).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">The new \u201cCost Category\u201d filter can be used to filter out those articles for which additional costs have been
