From 5 to 7 October 2022, the openCost expert workshop \u201copenCost: the road to publication cost transparency\u201d<\/a> took place at DESY in Hamburg. There, we presented the first project results and also engaged in a lively exchange with national and international experts in the field of publication costs and cost recording. Speakers from eight different countries (Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, England, the USA, Canada, Norway, and Finland) shared their perspectives and experiences. In addition, the approximate 40 participants had the opportunity to work together in various hands-on labs on the development of the openCost schema. The results of the workshop have now been published as Conference Proceedings (DOI: 10.3204\/PUBDB-2023-02961<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
