The current term of the EZB-DBIS Advisory Board ends in April 2025. For the coming period from May 2025 to April 2028, the joint Advisory Board for EZB and DBIS will be renominated.
Several hundred libraries and research institutions from all over the world have been involved for many years in collecting and maintaining the high-quality data of the two services Electronic Journals Library (EZB) and Database Information System (DBIS). The EZB is one of the most comprehensive directories of scholarly electronic journals and offers its users many services for the effective use of full-text journals on the internet. The DBIS is a service that lists scholarly databases and thus supports students, researchers and those interested in science in their search for literature and information.
Call for applications for the term of office from May 2025 to April 2028
For the coming period from May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2028, the joint Advisory Board for EZB and DBIS will be renominated. As the operator of both services, the University Library of Regensburg is looking forward to receiving applications from experts of relevant subject areas to join the EZB and DBIS advisory boards. The advisory board is chaired by the University Library of Regensburg.
Tasks of the EZB-DBIS Advisory Board
The EZB-DBIS Advisory Board is responsible for the following tasks:
- Advising the EZB and DBIS team on technical and content-related questions, such as the strategic focus of EZB and DBIS or data exchange processes
- Consulting for further development of EZB and DBIS
- Service integration into the nationwide information infrastructures
- Advice on strategic decisions and future planning for EZB and DBIS
- Developing recommendations, for example on new functionalities and interfaces
- Suggestions for service optimizing
Information on the application
Representatives of libraries, research institutions, associations and information institutions as well as end users of EZB and DBIS are welcome to apply. Members previously serving on the EZB-DBIS Advisory Board may be reappointed.
Members are appointed for a period of three years by the University Library of Regensburg and generally meet twice a year. The work on the advisory board is voluntary. The EZB DBIS team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
